Two Horses

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it. From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. But if you get a closer look you will notice something quite interesting...

One of the horses is blind.

His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made him a safe and comfortable barn to live in. This alone is pretty amazing.

But if you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell. It is coming from a smaller horse in the field. Attached to the horse's halter is a small, copper-colored bell. It lets the blind friend know where the other horse is, so he can follow.

As you stand and watch these two friends you'll see that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse, and that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk to where the other horse is, trusting he will not be led astray.

When the horse with the bell returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, he will stop occasionally to look back, making sure that the blind friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect. Or because we have problems or challenges. He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.

Sometimes we are the blind horse, being guided by the little ringing bell of those who were placed in our lives. And at other times we are the guide horse, helping others to find their way.

Lunch With God

A little boy wanted to meet God. He packed his backpack with two sets of clothes and some pieces of cake and he started his journey. He walked for a while until he felt tired.

So he sat in a park on the way, opened his backpack and took a piece of cake to eat. Then he noticed an old woman sitting sad nearby, so he offered her a piece of cake.

She gratefully accepted it with a wide look and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy longed to see it again. After some time he offered her another piece of cake. Again, she accepted it and smiled at him.

The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.

While it grew dark, the boy was frightened and he got up to leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps, he ran back and gave her a hug and she in return kissed him with her prettiest smile.

When the boy returned home and opened the door, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you look so happy?"

He replied," I had lunch with God."

Before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen in my life!"

Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and asked, "Mom, what did you do today that made you so happy?

She replied, "I ate cakes in the park with God." Before her son responded, she added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected."

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Remember, nobody knows how God looks like. People come into our lives for a reason, for a season, or for a lifetime. Accept all of them equally... And let them see God in you!

Handle a Business successfully, manage a business, is the key to the establishment and expansion of the business. The key to
successful management is to examine the marketplace environment and create employment and profit opportunities that give the
potential growth and financial viability of the business enterprise.

Despite the Significance of management, this area can be misunderstood and badly implemented, primarily because people focus on
the output in place of the process of direction.

Toward the end Of the 1980s, company managers became consumed in enhancing product quality, occasionally ignoring their function
vis-a-vis personnel. The focus has been on reducing costs and raising output, while dismissing the long-term advantages of
motivating personnel. This shortsighted perspective tended to raise profits in the brief term, but made a dysfunctional long-term
business environment.

Simultaneously With the increase in concern about quality, entrepreneurship attracted the interest of business. A sudden wave of
successful entrepreneurs seemed to leave earlier direction concepts obsolete. The popular press focused on the brand new cult
heroes Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniack (creators and developers of the Apple Computer) while disregarding the marketing and
organizing talents of Mike Markula, the executive accountable for Apple's business plan. The story of two men selling their
Volkswagen bus to construct the first Apple computer was more romantic than that of their organizational genius that enabled Apple
to develop, market and send its goods while quickly becoming a significant corporation.

In large Businesses, effective handle business abilities requires preparation. Planning is vital for developing a company's
potential. However, many small businesses don't recognize the need for long-range plans, because the few of people involved in
operating the business suggests equal responsibility in the planning and decision-making processes. Nevertheless, the need for
planning is as important in a small business as it is at a large one.

This manual Focuses on the value of good management practices. Specifically, it addresses the responsibilities of handling the
external and internal environments.

Running A Business Effectively: The External Environment. Five decades ago, Alvin Toffler suggested the vision of the taxpayer at
the tight grip of an omnipotent bureaucracy would be substituted by an organizational structure of ad-hocracy. The traditional
business organization implied a social contract between employees and employers. By adhering to some predetermined set of
obligations and sharply defined functions and responsibilities, workers obtained a predefined set of benefits. The Organizational
structure that Toffler predicted in 1970 became the standard 20 decades later, and it arrived changed concepts of jurisdiction. As
organizations became transitory, the authority of their organization and firm has been replaced by the jurisdiction of the
individual supervisor. This entrepreneurial management version is currently being replicated throughout society. As a result, the
individual small business owner must internalize ever increasing organizational functions.

Another change In the present business environment is dealing with government agencies. Their effect on the behavior of business
most recently seems to have increased. As businesses don't achieve high levels of ethical behavior or individual businesses
display particular lapses, the government rushes in to fill the breach with regulations.

Effective Communications play an integral role in managing and operating any successful small business. With open communications
modifications and their consequences on the business are quickly shared. Your company then has the time and skills needed to react
to changes and take advantage of evolving opportunities.

The next Checklist addressing how you'd respond to an employee's proposal offers an evaluation of the communication process in
your company. Put a check beside the statements which are commonly heard in your company.

Balancing Schedules Stress and Personnel. Without organization and decent management the compressed time programs associated with
contemporary business can cause stress and make extraordinary demands on individuals. A successful management structure can reduce
stress and channel the effective capacity of employees into business growth and profits.

Setting Duties Tasks and Duties. An organization is characterized by the character and determination of employees' duties tasks
and responsibilities. While many organizations use various procedures for discovering these it's vital that they be clearly
defined.

The core of any Business is its people and their own functions. Duties tasks and responsibilities frequently evolve in an ad hoc
manner. A normal company starts with a couple of individuals frequently one performing all duties. As the firm grows others have
been hired to fill certain roles often on a functional basis. Roles that were handled by consultants and specialists beyond the
firm are now handled internally. As new demands emerge new roles have been developed.

Another key to Successful management is located in controlling battle. Conflict can't be eliminated from the business or the
social activities of the enterprise. A measure of this organization's success is that the degree to which conflict may be exposed
and the energies related to it channeled to develop the firm. Though establishing policies and procedures represents the concrete
aspect of management and organization the mechanisms to endure and embody barriers to the established operation serve as the real
gist of a firm that will survive and prosper.

Even though you May discover that certain events are impacting your business be careful to not alter the organizational structure
of your firm without discussing it with your management team. Employees generally can accomplish goals despite organizational
arrangements enforced by management. Since restructuring involves spending a great deal of time studying new guidelines
implementing a new organizational structure is pricey.

The character of A prosperous organization can be more simply outlined than employed. The Following checklist can help you
determine measures to make sure your direction Construction is adequate. Check the entries that apply to your company and also
find Out what measures your business needs to take to enhance its management Structure.
