Life Is Full Of
Imperfect Things
When I was a kid, my Mom liked to
make breakfast food for dinner every now and then and I remember
one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a
long, hard day at work.
On that evening so long ago, my Mom
placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burnt biscuits in
front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed!
Yet all my dad did was reach for the
biscuit, smile at my Mom and ask me how my day was at school. I
don’t remember what I told him that night, but I do remember
hearing my Mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And
I'll never forget what he said: “Honey, I love burned biscuits”.
“Later that night I went to kiss my
Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits
burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, “Your momma put in a
long hard day at work today and she is realy tired. And
besides... A burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!”.
You know, life is full of imperfect
things... And imperfect people. I’m not the best at hardly
anything and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like
everyone. What I have learned over the years is that learning to
accept each other’s faults and choosing to celebrate each
other’s differences is one of the most important key to creating
a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship. So... please pass
me a biscuit. And yes, the burnt one will just do fine.
Life is too short to wake up with
regrets... love the people who treat you right and have
compassion for the ones who don’t. Enjoy life now – It as an
expiration date!
One day, a young guy and a young girl fell in love. But
the guy came from a poor family. The girl’s parents weren’t too
happy.
So the young man decided not only to court the girl but
to court her parents as well. In time, the parents saw that he
was a good man and was worthy of their daughter’s hand.
But there was another problem: The man was a soldier.
Soon war broke out and he was being sent overseas for a year.
The week before he left, the man knelt on his knee and asked his
lady love, “Will you marry me?” She wiped a tear, said yes, and
they were engaged. They agreed that when he got back in one
year, they would get married.
But tragedy struck. A few days after he left, the girl
had a major vehicular accident. It was a head-on collision.
When she woke up in the hospital, she saw her father
and mother crying. Immediately, she knew there was something
wrong.
She later found out that she suffered a brain injury.
The part of her brain that controlled her face muscles was
damaged. Her once lovely face was now disfigured. She cried as
she saw herself in the mirror. “Yesterday, I was beautiful.
Today, I’m a monster.” Her body was also covered with so many
ugly wounds.
Right there and then, she decided to release her fiancé
from their promise. She knew he wouldn’t want her anymore. She
would forget about him and never see him again.
For one year, the soldier wrote many letters - but she
wouldn’t answer. He phoned her many times but she wouldn’t
return her calls.
But after one year, the mother walked into her room and
announced, “He’s back from the war.”
The girl shouted, “No! Please don’t tell him about me.
Don’t tell him I’m here!”
The mother said, “He’s getting married,” and handed her
a wedding invitation.
The girl’s heart sank. She knew she still loved him -
but she had to forget him now.
With great sadness, she opened the wedding invitation.
And then she saw her name on it!
Confused, she asked, “What is this?”
That was when the young man entered her room with a
bouquet of flowers. He knelt beside her and asked, “Will you
marry me?”
The girl covered her face with her hands and said, “I’m
ugly!”
The man said, “Without your permission, your mother
sent me your photos. When I saw your photos, I realized that
nothing has changed. You’re still the person I fell in love
with. You’re still as beautiful as ever. Because I love you!”
Manage a Business successfully, handle a
company, is the key to the establishment and expansion of the
business. The trick to
successful management is to examine
the marketplace environment and create employment and profit
opportunities that provide the
potential growth and financial
viability of the business enterprise.
Regardless of the
Importance of direction, this area is often misunderstood and
badly executed, primarily because people focus on
the output
rather than the process of management.
Toward the end Of
the 1980s, company managers became absorbed in improving product
quality, occasionally ignoring their role
vis-a-vis
personnel. The focus has been on reducing costs and raising
output, while ignoring the long-term benefits of motivating
employees. This shortsighted view tended to increase profits in
the brief term, but made a dysfunctional long-term business
atmosphere.
Simultaneously With the increase in concern
about quality, entrepreneurship attracted the interest of
business. A sudden wave of
successful entrepreneurs seemed to
leave earlier management concepts obsolete. The popular press
focused on the brand new cult
heroes Steve Jobs and Steve
Wozniack (creators and developers of the Apple Computer) while
disregarding the marketing and
coordinating abilities of Mike
Markula, the executive accountable for Apple's business program.
The story of 2 guys selling their
Volkswagen bus to build the
first Apple computer was more romantic than that of the
organizational genius that enabled Apple to
develop, market
and ship its goods while quickly turning into a significant
business.
In big Companies, effective manage business
skills necessitates planning. Planning is vital for developing a
company's potential.
However, many small businesses don't
recognize the need for long-range plans, since the few of
individuals involved in operating
the company suggests
equivalent responsibility in the planning and decision-making
procedures. Nonetheless, the requirement for
preparation is
as vital in a small business as it's in a large one.
This guide Focuses on the importance of good management
practices. Specifically, it addresses the obligations of
handling the
internal and external environments.
Running A Business Effectively: The External Environment. Five
years ago, Alvin Toffler suggested that the eyesight of the
taxpayer in the tight grasp of an omnipotent bureaucracy would
be replaced through an organizational arrangement of ad-hocracy.
The traditional business organization implied a social contract
between employees and employers. By adhering to a fixed set of
obligations and sharply defined roles and responsibilities,
workers obtained a predefined set of benefits. The Organizational
structure that Toffler called in 1970 became the standard 20
decades later, and with it arrived altered concepts of
jurisdiction.
As associations became more transitory, the
authority of their organization and firm was replaced with the
jurisdiction of the
individual supervisor. This
entrepreneurial management version is currently being replicated
throughout society. As a result, the
individual business
owner must internalize ever raising organizational functions.
Another change In the present business environment is
dealing with government agencies. Their influence on the conduct
of business
most recently appears to have increased. As
businesses fail to achieve high levels of ethical behavior or
individual companies
exhibit specific lapses, the government
rushes in to fill the breach with its regulations.
Effective Communications play an integral role in managing and
operating any thriving business. With open communications
modifications and their consequences on the business are quickly
shared. Your company then has the time and skills needed to
respond to changes and take advantage of evolving opportunities.
The next Checklist addressing how you'd react to an
employee's proposal offers an assessment of the communication
process in your
company. Put a check next to the statements
that are commonly heard in your company.
Balancing
Schedules Stress and Personnel. With no organization and decent
management the compressed time schedules related to
contemporary business can cause stress and make extraordinary
demands on people. A successful management structure can lessen
stress and station the effective capacity of workers into
business growth and profits.
Setting Duties Tasks and
Responsibilities. An organization is characterized by the nature
and determination of workers'
responsibilities tasks and
obligations. While many organizations use different procedures
for determining these it's vital that
they be clearly
defined.
The core of any Organization is its people and
their functions. Duties responsibilities and tasks often evolve
into an ad hoc
manner. A typical company starts with a few
people often one performing all duties. As the company grows
others have been hired to
fill specific roles often on a
practical basis. Roles that were handled by consultants and
specialists outside the firm now are
handled internally. As
new demands emerge new roles are developed.
Another key
to Successful management lies in controlling battle. Conflict
cannot be removed from the business or the interpersonal
actions of the enterprise. A measure of the business's success
is the degree to which conflict may be subjected and the
energies
related to it channeled to develop the firm. Though
establishing policies and procedures represents the concrete
component of
organization and management the mechanics to
tolerate and embody barriers to the established performance
function as the real gist
of a firm that will endure and
prosper.
Even though you May find that certain events
are affecting your company be careful to not change the
organizational structure of
your firm without discussing it
with your management staff. Employees normally can accomplish
goals despite organizational
arrangements enforced by
management. Since restructuring entails spending a great deal of
time learning new guidelines
implementing a new
organizational structure is costly.
The essence of A
prosperous organization can be simply summarized than employed.
The Following checklist can help you determine
steps to make
sure your management Construction is sufficient. Verify the
entries that apply to your firm and also find Out what
measures your company should take to improve its management
Structure.
