The Angry Father

A doctor entered the hospital in a hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call ASAP, changed his clothes and went directly to the surgery room. He found the boy's father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor. On seeing him, the dad yelled:

"Why did you take all this time to come? Don't you know that my son's life is in danger? Don't you have any sense of responsibility?"

The doctor smiled and said: "I am sorry, I wasn't in the hospital and I came as fast as I could after receiving the call... And now, I wish you'd calm down so that I can do my work"

"Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies now what will you do?" Said the father angrily.

The doctor smiled again and replied: doctors cannot prolong lives. Go and intercede for your son, we will do our best to help him"

"Giving advises when we're not concerned is so easy" Murmured the father.

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out content, "Thank goodness!, your son is saved!" And without waiting for the father's reply he carried on his way running. "If you have any question, ask the nurse!"

"Why is he so arrogant? He couldn't wait some minutes so that I could ask about my son's state" Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: "His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was attending the burial when we called him for your son's surgery. And now that he saved your son's life, he left running to finish his son's burial."

Moral: do not judge anyone... because you never know how their life is and what they're going through.

"Never criticize a man until you've walked a mile in his moccasins" (~American Indian Proverb)

Be A Lake

The old Master instructed an unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it. "How does it taste?" the Master asked.

"Awful," spat the apprentice.

The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake.

The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the apprentice swirled his handful of salt into the lake, the old man said, "Now drink from the lake." As the water dripped down the young man's chin, the Master asked, "How does it taste?"Good!" remarked the apprentice.

"Do you taste the salt?" asked the Master. "No," said the young man. The Master sat beside this troubled young man, took his hands, and said, "The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same. But the amount we taste the 'pain' depends on the container we put it into. So when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things."

Stop being a Glass, Become a Lake!

Xvxry Pxrson Is Important

Handle a Business successfully, manage a company, is the key to the establishment and expansion of the business. The key to
successful management is to examine the market environment and create employment and profit opportunities that give the potential
growth and financial viability of the business enterprise.

Regardless of the Importance of management, this region can be misunderstood and badly implemented, chiefly because people
concentrate on the output in place of the process of direction.

Toward the end Of the 1980s, company managers became absorbed in enhancing product quality, sometimes ignoring their role
vis-a-vis personnel. The focus was on reducing costs and raising output, while ignoring the long-term benefits of motivating
employees. This shortsighted perspective tended to increase profits in the brief term, but created a dysfunctional long-term small
business atmosphere.

Simultaneously With the growth in concern about quality, entrepreneurship brought the attention of business. A sudden wave of
successful entrepreneurs seemed to render earlier direction theories obsolete. The popular press focused on the new cult heroes
Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniack (creators and developers of the Apple Computer) while ignoring the marketing and organizing talents
of Mike Markula, the executive responsible for Apple's business program. The story of 2 men selling their Volkswagen bus to build
the first Apple computer was more amorous than that of the organizational genius that enabled Apple to develop, market and ship
its goods while quickly turning into a significant business.

In large Companies, effective manage business skills necessitates preparation. Planning is essential for creating a company's
potential. But many small businesses don't recognize the need for long-term aims, because the small number of individuals involved
in managing the business suggests equal responsibility in the preparation and decision-making processes. Nevertheless, the
requirement for preparation is as vital in a small business as it's at a large one.

This guide Focuses on the value of good management practices. Specifically, it addresses the responsibilities of handling the
internal and external environments.

Managing A Business Effectively: The External Environment. Five years ago, Alvin Toffler indicated the vision of the citizen at
the tight grasp of an omnipotent waiver could be replaced through an organizational structure of ad-hocracy. The conventional
company organization implied a social contract between workers and employers. By adhering to some fixed set of duties and sharply
defined functions and responsibilities, employees received a predefined set of benefits. The Organizational structure which Toffler
predicted in 1970 became the standard 20 years later, and it arrived altered concepts of jurisdiction. As organizations became
transitory, the authority of the company and firm was replaced with the authority of the individual supervisor. This
entrepreneurial management version is currently being replicated throughout society. Consequently, the individual business
operator must internalize ever increasing organizational purposes.

Another change In the present business environment is dealing with government agencies. Their effect on the conduct of company
most recently appears to have improved. As industries don't achieve high levels of moral behavior or individual companies display
particular lapses, the government rushes in to fill the breach with regulations.

Powerful Communications play an integral part in operating and managing any successful business. With open communications
modifications and their consequences on the business are quickly shared. Your company then has the time and skills needed to react
to changes and take advantage of evolving opportunities.

The following Checklist addressing how you'd respond to an employee's proposal provides an assessment of the communication process
in your business. Put a check beside the statements that are generally heard in your business.

Balancing Schedules Stress and Personnel. Without organization and good management the compressed time schedules related to
contemporary company can lead to stress and make extraordinary demands on individuals. A successful management structure can
reduce stress and channel the productive capacity of workers into business growth and profits.

Setting Duties Tasks and Duties. An organization is characterized by the character and determination of employees' duties tasks
and responsibilities. While many organizations use various procedures for determining these it is essential that they be clearly
defined.

The core of any Organization is its people and their functions. Duties responsibilities and tasks often evolve in an ad hoc
manner. A typical firm starts with a few individuals often one performing all duties. As the company grows others are hired to
fulfill certain functions often on a practical basis. Roles which were managed by consultants and experts beyond the firm are now
managed internally. As new needs emerge new roles have been developed.

Another crucial to Successful management is located in controlling conflict. Conflict can't be eliminated from either the business
or the social activities of this enterprise. A measure of this business's success is that the degree to which conflict may be
subjected and the energies associated with it channeled to develop the firm. Though establishing policies and processes represents
the concrete component of organization and management the mechanics to tolerate and embody challenges to the established
performance serve as the real essence of a firm which will survive and prosper.

Even though you May discover that certain events are impacting your company be careful to not change the organizational structure
of your company without discussing it with your management staff. Employees normally can accomplish goals despite organizational
structures imposed by management. Since restructuring involves spending a great deal of time learning new guidelines implementing
a new organizational structure is pricey.

The character of A successful organization can be simply outlined than implemented. The Following checklist can help you determine
measures to ensure your direction Construction is adequate. Check the entries that apply to your company and also find Out what
measures your company should take to improve its management Structure.
