Soar Like An Eagle

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks?

The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come.

When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.

When the storms of life come upon us, like the eagle, we can rise above them and ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure, and disappointment into our lives.

What is your greatest challenge right now? Jot it down. And then let it lift you higher.

Four Burning Candles

In a room there were four candles burning. The ambiance was so soft you could hear them talking.

The first one said, “I am PEACE, however nobody can keep me lit. I believe I will go out.”

It’s flame rapidly diminishes and goes out completely.

The second one says, “I am FAITH. Most of all I am no longer indispensable, so it does not make any sense that I stay lit any longer.”

When it finished talking a breeze softly blew on it putting it out.

Sadly, the third candle spoke in its turn. “I am LOVE. I have not gotten the strength to stay lit. People put me aside and don’t understand my importance. They even forget to love those who are nearest to them.” And waiting no longer it goes out.

Suddenly a child entered the room and saw three candles not burning. “Why are you not burning you are supposed to stay lit till the end.”

Saying this the child began to cry. Then the fourth candle said, “Don’t be afraid, while I am still burning we can re-light the other candles, I am HOPE.”

With shining eyes, the child took the candle of Hope and lit the other candles.

The flame of Hope should never go out from our life and that each of us can maintain HOPE, FAITH, PEACE and LOVE.

Hope never abandons you. You abandon hope. Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what is still possible for you to do.

Laughter is The Best Medicine

Years ago, Norman Cousins was diagnosed as “terminally ill”. He was given six months to live. His chance for recovery was 1 in 500.

He could see the worry, depression and anger in his life contributed to, and perhaps helped cause, his disease. He wondered, “If illness can be caused by negativity, can wellness be created by positivity?”

He decided to make an experiment of himself. Laughter was one of the most positive activities he knew. He rented all the funny movies he could find – Keaton, Chaplin, Fields, the Marx Brothers. He read funny stories. He asked his friends to call him whenever they said, heard or did something funny.

His pain was so great he could not sleep. Laughing for 10 solid minutes, he found, relieved the pain for several hours so he could sleep.

He fully recovered from his illness and lived another 20 happy, healthy and productive years. (His journey is detailed in his book, 'Anatomy of an Illness'.) He credits visualization, the love of his family and friends, and laughter for his recovery.

Some people think laughter is a waste of time. It is a luxury, they say, a frivolity, something to indulge in only every so often.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Laughter is essential to our equilibrium, to our well-being, to our aliveness. If we’re not well, laughter helps us get well; if we are well, laughter helps us stay that way.

Since Cousins’ ground-breaking subjective work, scientific studies have shown that laughter has a curative effect on the body, the mind and the emotions.

So, if you like laughter, consider it sound medical advice to indulge in it as often as you can. If you don’t like laughter, then take your medicine – laugh anyway.

Use whatever makes you laugh – movies, sitcoms, Monty Python, records, books, New Yorker cartoons, jokes, friends.

Give yourself permission to laugh – long and loud and out loud – whenever anything strikes you as funny. The people around you may think you’re strange, but sooner or later they’ll join in even if they don’t know what you’re laughing about.

Some diseases may be contagious, but none is as contagious as the cure. . . laughter.

Handle a Business successfully, handle a company, is the key to the establishment and growth of the company. The trick to
successful management is to examine the market environment and create employment and profit opportunities that provide the
possible growth and fiscal viability of the business enterprise.

Despite the Importance of direction, this region can be misunderstood and poorly executed, chiefly because people concentrate on
the output rather than the procedure for direction.

Toward the end Of the 1980s, company managers became absorbed in improving product quality, occasionally ignoring their role
vis-a-vis personnel. The focus was on reducing costs and increasing output, while dismissing the long-term benefits of motivating
personnel. This shortsighted view tended to raise profits in the brief term, but created a dysfunctional long-term business
environment.

Simultaneously With the growth in concern about quality, entrepreneurship attracted the interest of business. A sudden wave of
successful entrepreneurs appeared to leave sooner management concepts obsolete. The popular press focused on the new cult heroes
Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniack (creators and developers of the Apple Computer) while ignoring the marketing and coordinating
abilities of Mike Markula, the executive responsible for Apple's business program. The story of two guys selling their Volkswagen
bus to construct the first Apple computer was more romantic than that of their organizational genius that enabled Apple to grow,
market and send its goods while rapidly becoming a major corporation.

In big Businesses, effective handle business abilities requires planning. Planning is vital for creating a firm's potential.
However, many small businesses don't recognize the need for long-range plans, because the small number of individuals involved in
operating the business implies equivalent responsibility in the preparation and decision-making procedures. Nevertheless, the
requirement for preparation is as vital in a small business as it's in a large one.

This guide Focuses on the importance of good management practices. Specifically, it addresses the responsibilities of handling the
external and internal environments.

Running A Business Effectively: The External Environment. Five decades ago, Alvin Toffler indicated the eyesight of the taxpayer
at the tight grasp of an omnipotent bureaucracy would be substituted through an organizational structure of ad-hocracy. The
conventional company organization implied a social contract between workers and employers. By adhering to some fixed set of duties
and sharply defined roles and responsibilities, employees obtained a predefined set of benefits. The Organizational structure that
Toffler predicted in 1970 became the norm 20 decades later, and with it came altered concepts of jurisdiction. As associations
became more transitory, the authority of the organization and firm was replaced by the authority of the individual supervisor.
This entrepreneurial management version is now being replicated throughout society. As a result, the individual small business
operator must internalize ever raising organizational purposes.

Another Shift In the present business environment is dealing with government agencies. Their effect on the conduct of business
most recently seems to have increased. As businesses don't attain high levels of moral behavior or individual businesses display
particular lapses, the government rushes in to fill the breach with its regulations.

Effective Communications play an integral part in managing and operating any successful small business. With open communications
changes and their effects on the organization are rapidly shared. Your company then has the time and skills required to react to
changes and take advantage of evolving opportunities.

The next Checklist addressing how you would respond to an employee's suggestion offers an assessment of the communication process
in your business. Place a check next to the statements which are commonly heard in your business.

Balancing Schedules Stress and Personnel. With no organization and good management the compressed time schedules associated with
modern business can cause stress and make exceptional demands on people. An effective management structure can lessen stress and
channel the productive capacity of workers into company growth and profits.

Setting Duties Tasks and Responsibilities. An organization is distinguished by the nature and determination of employees'
responsibilities tasks and responsibilities. While many organizations use different methods for discovering these it is vital that
they be clearly defined.

The center of any Organization is its people and their functions. Duties tasks and responsibilities often evolve into an ad hoc
manner. A typical company starts with a few individuals often one performing all duties. As the firm develops others are hired to
fulfill specific functions often on a practical basis. Roles that were managed by consultants and experts beyond the firm are now
handled internally. As new needs emerge new roles have been developed.

Another key to Successful direction lies in controlling conflict. Conflict can't be removed from the company or the interpersonal
activities of the enterprise. A measure of this business's success is the degree to which conflict can be subjected and the
energies related to it channeled to build up the company. Though establishing policies and processes represents the tangible
aspect of management and organization the mechanics to endure and embody challenges to the established performance function as the
actual gist of a firm that will endure and prosper.

Even though you May find that certain events are affecting your company be careful not to change the organizational structure of
your company without discussing it with your management staff. Employees normally can achieve goals despite organizational
structures enforced by management. Because restructuring involves spending a lot of time learning new guidelines implementing a
new organizational structure is costly.

The essence of A successful organization can be more simply summarized than implemented. The Following checklist can help you
determine measures to ensure your direction Construction is sufficient. Verify the entries that apply to your company and also
find Out what steps your company should take to improve its management Structure.
